Jasmeen Travels

Our place is Shop Number 415 on Sultanwind Road. It’s pretty easy to find because we are near the Toot Sahib Gurudwara. That’s a landmark everyone knows around here. Jasmeen Travels is a small operation. We’ve got our office in the 143006 part of Amritsar. It’s a bit away from the main tourist center, which is nice because it feels more like a neighborhood. We get a lot of local families who need a car for a wedding or a trip to see relatives in another city. I usually start the day by opening the shutters and checking the messages on the phone. Sometimes people call late at night, and I have to remind them we have opening hours, but that’s just how it goes. The Sultanwind Road area can get quite congested in the evenings. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the shops around us change many times. We just keep doing our thing. It’s not a fancy life, just working with cars and travelers. We try to keep things simple. No big promises, just getting people from one place to another. Most of our regulars are people who live right in this area. We know their names and where they usually like to go. It feels more like a community business that way. The tea shop next door makes a good cup which helps us get through the long afternoons.
