At Bhullar Rice Machinery Mfg. Co., we spend most of our time down at the workshop on Mehta Road. Our shop is at 384-385 Industrial Focal Point, right where all the noise and activity usually happens. We build machines for rice processing, and it gets pretty loud in here with all the welding and metal cutting going on. My father started this, and we just kept it going because it’s what we know how to do. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and tools, and there is always a machine halfway finished sitting in the corner. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in greasy overalls trying to get a part to fit just right. It’s hard work, and sometimes the machines give us trouble, but we figure it out eventually. We’ve been at this focal point for years, and most of the other shop owners nearby are our friends. We eat lunch together when we have the time. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to make sure the machines we send out actually work when they get to the mill. It’s simple work in a way, just steel and motors and a lot of sweat. Mehta Road is busy, but we like being right in the middle of it all.
