Gupta General Store

Gupta General Store is located at H/5-1970 in Bharat Nagar. We are right on Batala Road in Amritsar 143001. Living and working in Amritsar means life moves at a certain pace, and I’ve grown used to it. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, but it serves the people in Bharat Nagar just fine. I deal with a lot of different items, from kitchen staples to small household tools. Batala Road is usually quite busy with traffic, so there is always a bit of noise in the background. My family has been around this area for a long time. I usually sit near the front so I can see people coming in from the street. The address H/5-1970 is tucked into a row of other buildings, but people know where we are. I don't use any modern gadgets to run the place, just my old scales and a calculator. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying boxes and keeping the place clean from the dust that blows in from the road. I don't really think about things like "mission statements," I just focus on making sure I have enough tea leaves and sugar for the morning rush. It’s a practical life, and it keeps me connected to my neighbors. Sometimes the winters in Amritsar get quite cold, and I have to wrap up warm while waiting for customers. It's just me here, making sure the locals get their daily supplies.
