Gumtala Karyana Store

If you are heading down Ajnala Road in Amritsar, you will find Gumtala Karyana Store near the As Gas Agency. It is a busy part of the road with lots of trucks and cars going by. We have been running this store for a while now, focusing on karyana items and basic household needs. The shop is tucked into the Main Market area. Inside, it smells like spices and grains because we keep a lot of those in stock. We have big bags of flour and sugar sitting near the entrance most days. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage just fine. Being near the gas agency means we get people stopping in while they are out doing their chores. We don't do any big advertising or have a website; we just open the shutters and start the day. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to tell people to come back later, but usually, we have what is on the list. The shelves are a bit old and maybe need a coat of paint, but they hold the weight of the jars just fine. We spend most of our time weighing out portions or bagging up small items. It's practical work that keeps us busy from dawn to dusk. We are just a local shop trying to stay stocked for the neighborhood around Ajnala Road.
