Gulati Karyana Store is right at Gawal Mandi Chownk on Ram Tirth Road in Amritsar. We are located directly opposite the Power House, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us. Amritsar is a city that loves its food, so being a karyana store means we deal with a lot of ingredients. We have bags of flour, different types of pulses, and plenty of spices. The Chownk is always busy with people and vehicles. We hear the sound of the traffic all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming, but you get used to it. The shop is filled with the smell of open sacks of grain. We spend our time weighing out things for customers and packing them into small bags. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Being across from the Power House means we never really have to give long directions. People know the spot. We try to keep everything fresh because that is what our regulars expect. We have been part of this Amritsar neighborhood for quite a while now. There are no fancy decorations here, just shelves full of items and a counter that has seen a lot of use. We just take care of the people who come in and make sure they get what they came for.
