Graduate Hair Salon

Graduate Hair Salon is located at Shop No 319 inside Khazana Gate in Amritsar. We are just a short walk from Ashoka Bakery, which most people in the area know. This is a traditional hair salon where we have been cutting hair for a long time. The shop is not very big, but it has everything we need to do the job. We have the standard barber chairs and a few benches for people waiting their turn. The walls have some old pictures on them and the floor usually has hair that we sweep up every hour. We get all kinds of men coming in, from young kids getting their first haircut to old men who have been coming here for decades. It is a busy spot because of the location near the gate. We talk about the news or the weather while we work. The clippers and scissors are always moving. We don't do appointments, people just show up and wait. Sometimes there is a line out the door on Sundays. We offer shaves and hair trims and nothing too complicated. It is just a straightforward business. We like being in this part of Amritsar because it feels like home. We open early and close when the last customer is done. It is just honest work and we take pride in it. We have been here through many changes in the city and keep doing the same thing.
