Going Places

Going Places is over at Shop No 3 in Tilak Nagar. We are right on Shivala Road, which is a place many locals know well. The shop isn't very large but it serves the purpose for what we do every day. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and schedules to help folks get where they need to go. Amritsar is a busy place and Tilak Nagar has its own rhythm that we are part of. Usually, the mornings start with cleaning the shop and setting up the system. We talk to a lot of people who are planning trips to see family or just heading out for work. It’s not a corporate setup at all. It’s more like a place where you can just sit down and talk about your travel plans without any pressure. Shivala Road can get pretty crowded in the afternoons, so there is always something to see out the window. We’ve been at this address for a bit, and we know many of the shopkeepers nearby. Our day is mostly filled with phone calls and typing. We don't use a lot of fancy software, just the basic tools to find decent routes. It’s a straightforward business. We try to be honest about what’s available and what’s not. Sometimes we stay late if there’s a lot of work, but mostly we follow the regular local hours. It is just a plain, functional shop for people in the Tilak Nagar area.
