If you walk down Gali No.7 in Sunder Nagar, Amritsar, you will find us. We are Glamour Beauty Salon & Training Centre. Being near Deva Ji Mandir makes it easy for people to find the shop, especially during festival times when the whole street is busy. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The place serves two purposes, we do the regular salon work for the ladies and we also have a training centre. It gets quite crowded inside when the students are practicing. It is a bit noisy sometimes with everyone talking and learning how to do hair or makeup, but it’s a good kind of busy. Sunder Nagar is a nice neighborhood and we know most of our neighbors. The shop is simple, we don’t have those expensive polished floors you see in big malls. We just have what we need to teach and to work. People come in for threads, haircuts, or getting ready for functions at the mandir. The students are mostly local girls looking to learn a skill. We try to teach them the practical way, the way things actually work in a real shop. Amritsar is a city that loves to look good, so there is always someone coming through the door. It’s just our daily life here in Gali Number 7, nothing too complicated. We just keep the scissors moving and the lessons going every single day. We don't worry about being fancy as long as the work is getting done.
