Friendz Beauty Salon

Friendz Beauty Salon is located right in Shakkti Nagar, over in the Shastri Market part of Amritsar. This area is always full of people, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. If you walk through the market, you can’t miss the noise of the traffic and the vendors shouting. Our shop is a small space where we keep things pretty basic. We have 143001 as our pin code, and most of the people who come in live right in the nearby streets. It’s a handy place to stop by if you are already in the market getting groceries or clothes. We don’t have those big fancy waiting rooms you see in movies. There are just some chairs and the smell of hair products in the air. I usually start the day by cleaning the mirrors and setting out the tools we need. Amritsar weather can be a bit much sometimes, so it's nice to be inside the shop when it's too hot or too cold out there. The walls have a few pictures on them, and we usually have the radio playing some songs to keep the atmosphere light. It isn't a huge operation, just a few of us working here and chatting with the locals who have been coming to this market for years. People know us by name, and we know which chair they like to sit in. It’s just how it goes here.
