You can find Chowdhary Trvaels at Shop No 8, just outside Hall Gate. We are right near Libra Travels, which is a big landmark for people around here. Hall Gate is always packed with people and traffic, so there is never a dull moment at the shop. We deal with all sorts of travel needs, mostly helping people get their tickets sorted or finding a vehicle for a group trip. The space is small, but it works for what we need. We’ve got our regular customers who have been coming to us for years because they know we’re always here. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in Amritsar, we just want to do our job well. Sometimes the computers act up or the phones won't stop ringing, but we just take it one task at a time. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure everyone is on schedule. There’s a lot of noise from the street outside, but you get used to it after a while. We keep the shop open late most days because that’s when people finish work and have time to plan their trips. It’s a basic setup with a lot of heart put into it. We just focus on the people who walk through the door. We don't really have a lobby, just a couple of stools for people to sit on.
