Our place is located on Gagarmal Road, right in the Katra Sher Sing area. It’s a busy market spot, so there’s always something going on outside our doors. We’ve been around for quite a few years now. The shop is filled with various items, mostly what you’d expect from a traditional trading business here. It’s not organized like a modern store; we have things stacked up pretty high. You have to know where to look. We spend our days talking to customers and dealing with suppliers who come through the narrow streets. The building is old, with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors. Sometimes it gets a bit drafty in the winter. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find us. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves. We sit on the floor cushions most of the day, which is how we’ve always done it. It’s a bit of a slow pace compared to the big cities, but we like it. The chai man comes by twice a day, and that’s when we take a break. It's a simple life and a simple business. We don't keep strict hours; if a customer is late, we stay open a bit longer. There is no computer here, just a ledger book where we write everything down by hand.
