Abhi Karyana Store

Abhi Karyana Store is right here at Shop No. 1 on Majitha Road in the Medical Enclave area of Amritsar. We are just across from the Power Colony. It is a simple place where we keep the daily things people need for their kitchens. You will find bags of flour, different kinds of lentils, and jars of spices sitting on the shelves. The morning starts early when the milk crates arrive and we have to move them inside before the sun gets too high. It is usually quite busy because of the hospital and offices nearby, so there is always some noise from the traffic outside. The floor is just plain concrete and the shelves are made of wood that has seen better days, but they do the job just fine. We spend a lot of time weighing out sugar or packing up small bags of tea for the neighbors. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a rattling noise when it is on full speed, but it keeps the air moving. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the basic stuff you expect in a local grocery shop. People stop by on their scooters to grab a loaf of bread or some eggs on their way home. It gets a bit dusty with all the cars going past on Majitha Road, so we are often wiping down the counters. It is just a regular life here, keeping the stock ready for whoever walks in.
