School Of Scholars

We are located on Hingana Road in the Kaulkhed area of Akola. School Of Scholars has been around long enough that some of our former students are now bringing their own kids here. That makes us feel a bit old, but it’s nice to see. The school building is a tall one, and you can see it from down the road. Inside, it’s usually full of the sound of kids reciting their lessons or moving chairs around. We don't go for anything too flashy. The walls are painted a simple color and we pin up the students' drawings in the hallways. Sometimes the tape fails and the papers fall down, so we just stick them back up. We have a playground that gets used for everything from morning assembly to cricket matches. The teachers here are sensible people who just want the kids to pass their exams and learn some manners. We handle everything from the admissions to the electricity bills right here in the front office. It gets hectic during the monsoon when everyone wants to stay dry, but we manage. People in Akola know us as a place that just gets on with the job. No big speeches, just daily classes. We open the gates early and close them late. It’s a full-time job for all of us and we are used to the noise.
