Sri Gurudev Junior College

Our college is located out in Gurukunj Ashram, which is part of the Amravati district in Maharashtra. It is a bit of a different setting than a city school because of the ashram area. Things move a bit slower out here, which is fine by us. We deal with junior college students, so they are at that age where they are starting to think about what comes next after school. The building is functional and does not have many frills. We have our classrooms and the basic labs needed for the science students to do their practicals. Most of our days are spent going through the syllabus and preparing for the exams that come at the end of the year. The atmosphere is generally quiet, which helps with the studying. We have some trees around the place that provide a bit of shade during the hotter months of the year. The staff stays in the local area, and we have become used to the daily routine of the ashram. It is not a place for people looking for something flashy. We just offer a place for students to get through these two years of their education. It is practical and straightforward. We do not have a big office with air conditioning; we just have our desks and our books. People around Amravati know where to find us if they need to. It is just a regular college doing its thing every day.
