We are out here in Kolvihir, which is a small spot in Amravati. Most people just walk here or come from the nearby farms. The school building is old but we keep it clean. Every morning the kids line up and the sun gets pretty hot by noon. It is not a big place. We have a few classrooms and some benches that have been here for years. The teachers are mostly locals who know every family in the village. It gets dusty in the summer and muddy when the rain starts. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just sit outside under the trees. It is quiet here except when the bell rings. We do not have fancy computers or a big playground with grass. The kids play in the dirt with whatever they find. We just try to get through the lessons every day. Sometimes parents come by to talk about their crops or how their kids are doing. It is just a normal village life. We have the basic things needed to read and write. People here work hard and we just try to make sure the children learn something useful before they go home to help their families. It is simple. We stay busy with the registers and the midday meals. That is how it goes here in Kolvihir every single day. The building might need a new coat of paint soon, but for now, it serves its purpose for the local community.
