Virma Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Tanda Ram Baran at Ram Sahay Verma’s place. We started this because the local farmers around here needed a way to get things done together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. Most of us have been working the land for a long time, some since we were just boys helping our fathers. It’s not easy work and some years are better than others depending on the rain and the markets. We try to help each other out with seeds or figuring out where to sell what we grow. Tanda Ram Baran is a small spot and everyone knows everyone. We aren't some big fancy office with a secretary. It’s just a group of us trying to make the farming life a bit more stable for our families. Sometimes we meet up at Ram Sahay’s house to talk about what’s coming up for the next season while we drink some tea. There is always a lot to handle with the crops and the paperwork that comes with running a producer company. We just take it one day at a time and see what happens with the weather. It’s mostly about making sure the people in our village get a fair shake at the end of the harvest. Farming is what we know and we don't plan on changing that. We just wanted a name for what we were already doing as neighbors.
