Zanzarva High School

We are over in Aligarh, at 115 Panchsheel Colony in the Dream India section. This is a residential part of the city, so it is mostly houses and small shops around us. Our school is a high school, so we deal with the older students who are getting ready for their exams. The building is a few stories high and we have different classrooms on each level. It is not a fancy modern campus with a lot of glass. It is just a regular building that we have been using for years. We don't have a big yard for sports, so the kids mostly hang out in the hallways or the front area during their breaks. The teachers are mostly from right here in Aligarh. We don't spend money on glossy brochures or big advertisements. We just focus on getting through the syllabus every year. Sometimes the street gets very busy when school lets out and there are bicycles everywhere. We have a small office where we keep the files and talk to parents. It is a very straightforward setup. We don't have any special facilities like a pool or a gym. We just provide the classrooms and the teachers for the students to do their work. It is a practical place for families in the colony. Most of the children walk to the gates and we know them all by their first names after a few weeks. Every day has its own challenges like a leaky tap or a noisy neighbor, but we keep the schedule moving.
