Krishna International School

Krishna International School is about five kilometers out on Udla Road, just off the Delhi G T Road in Aligarh. Being near the main highway means we see a lot of traffic passing by, but we are far enough back that it stays relatively quiet for the students. The school is surrounded by a bit of open land, which is nice for when the weather is good. We have a simple brick wall around the perimeter and a big iron gate. Every morning, the buses arrive from different parts of Aligarh, and the place wakes up. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets in every corner. Instead, we have solid classrooms with wooden benches and plenty of chalkboards. It’s the kind of place where you can still hear the teachers' voices echoing down the halls. We spend a lot of time making sure the playground is safe and that the water coolers are full. The seasons really change things here; it gets very dusty in the summer and a bit muddy when the monsoons hit the G T Road area. We just deal with it as it comes. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy titles. We are just a local school providing a place for kids to study. Most of the staff live in the city and commute here every morning, rain or shine.
