Working here at Sardar in Dhan Mandi is never quiet. If you’ve ever walked through Darga Bazar, you know exactly what I mean. It’s a rush from the moment the shutters go up in the morning. The smells of the market, the people shouting, and the constant movement of goods define our day. We’ve been part of this bazaar for a long time. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning or glass doors. It’s a real market shop where things happen fast. We handle various bits of trade, dealing with whoever walks in the door. The floor is usually covered in dust by noon, and there’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to haggle over a price. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept in the back. The Darga is close by, so we hear the sounds from there all day long. It gives the whole place a specific kind of energy that you won't find anywhere else. We eat our lunch sitting on stools between the stacks of items we're selling. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and on our feet. We don’t bother with much advertising because everyone in the Mandi knows where we are. You just have to follow the noise and the crowds to find us. We’ll likely be here until the bazaar finally winds down late in the evening.
