Poonam Pan House

Poonam Pan House is right there on Ajmer Railway Station Road. Because of the station, there are always people with bags and suitcases walking past. It’s a very busy place. You hear the train whistles and the announcements from the platforms if the wind is right. Our shop is a place where people stop for a minute before they catch a train or after they just arrived. It’s a fast-paced spot. We don't have much time for long chats during the day because everyone is in a rush. The shop itself is simple and a bit worn down from the constant movement. We keep the floor swept, but with so many people coming in, it’s hard to keep it perfect. We’ve been here for years, watching people come and go from all over the country. It’s interesting to see so many different faces. We don't have any corporate mission or anything like that. We just sell what we have and try to be quick. The nights can be long when the trains are delayed. We stay open to help those who are waiting. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We are just a small house for pan by the railway station. It’s a busy life, and we are used to the noise and the crowds now. It keeps things interesting for us.
