We are located at E-2/53 on 3 Khamba Road. If you know Kishangarh, you know the Rico Industrial Estate is where everything happens. It is a noisy place, mostly because of the cutting and the trucks moving around all day long. We have been here for a good while now. Most days start early because the sun gets quite hot by noon. We spend a lot of time walking through the rows of stone. Some days it feels like we are just moving things from one side of the yard to the other. People come in looking for something specific for their floors or walls. We show them what is available in the stacks. There is a lot of dust, that is just how it is in this business. You can't really keep a shirt clean for more than an hour here. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment comes in, everything gets a bit chaotic for a day or two. My father used to say that the stone has its own mind. Sometimes you find a crack where you didn't expect one. We just deal with it and move on to the next slab. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. The 3 Khamba Road area has changed a lot over the years, with more shops and more traffic now. But the work itself stays pretty much the same as it always was.
