Ratnamala Empowering Women Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at house number 255 in Bhende K Nevasa. It’s a place where women from around the Ahmadnagar area come together. Most of what we do involves organic farming and managing the producer company. We aren't a big corporation, just local people working out of Bhende Kh. The office is pretty basic, just a room where we keep our records and meet to talk about the crops. Farming in this part of the state takes a lot of effort, but doing it organically is what we focus on. A lot of the women here have their own fields and we try to coordinate things from this address. It’s usually quite noisy with everyone talking at once during the meetings. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just about getting the produce sorted and making sure the farmers get a fair deal. Ahmadnagar weather can be tough, especially the heat in summer, but the work doesn't stop. We stay busy with the paperwork and the actual farming stuff. If you are looking for us, we are right there in the village. It's a community effort more than anything else. We share the tools and the knowledge we have. It feels good to work with neighbors and see things grow. That’s pretty much the story of our little group here.
