Healthy Indians Organic Foods Farmerproducer Company Limited is located right in Kanherwadi, which is in the Kallam taluka. It’s a small place, very rural and quiet. We are a farmer producer company, which basically means a bunch of us locals got together to handle our organic food business as a team. There isn’t much in Kanherwadi besides fields and houses, so our office is right in the middle of it all. We don’t have a proper street address with a number because everyone here just knows where we are located. It’s a simple life for us. We spend most of our time out in the fields or sitting in our small office space checking the quality of the grains and vegetables we grow. The Kallam area can be quite dry, so water management is always on our minds during the day. We started this company to help ourselves and our neighbors get better prices for the organic stuff we grow. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning or anything like that. We have a few computers and a lot of old registers. We deal with the day-to-day problems of farming and selling. It’s hard work, and the sun is hot most of the year, but we like being our own bosses. We are just local people trying to do something good for our health and our community without any big corporate backing or complicated rules. We just work the land.
