About Pallavi Vermi Farm – Agriculture & Farming in Ahmednagar
Out here in Pargaon Sudrik, life moves at a different pace. Our farm is situated near the Ganesh Temple in the Shrigonda area. It’s mostly dirt roads and open space around here. We spend most of our days working with the soil and the worms. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it if you want good crops. The vermi farm keeps us busy from sunrise. We started this because we saw how much the land needed better nutrients. We use simple methods that have been around for a long time. There’s no big factory or heavy machinery here, just piles of organic matter and the worms doing their thing. You can usually find one of us near the pits or checking on the moisture levels. It gets hot in Shrigonda, so we have to stay on top of things. People from nearby villages often stop by to pick up what they need for their own gardens or fields. We don't have a big office or anything, usually we just meet folks right outside. If you’re coming from the temple, we’re just a short walk away. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we mostly just talk to people about their plants and what’s growing this season. It's quiet work, and we like it that way. We're just trying to provide something useful for the local farmers around here.
