Greenup Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located in Rahuri, in the Ahmednagar district. Our main spot is at House Number 1361 in Bramhani. It’s a local operation, mostly just us farmers trying to pool our resources together so we don't get a bad deal at the market. Being a producer company means we spend a lot of time in meetings, which isn't always what we want to be doing. We’d rather be out in the dirt. But someone has to handle the books and the selling part. The office is just a room in the village where we keep the records. There’s always someone stopping by to ask about prices or when the next truck is coming. We don't have any fancy marketing people telling us what to say. We just say it like it is. Some years the onion crop is good, other years it’s the pomegranate. We just take it as it comes. It’s a lot of hard work, and my hands are usually stained from the fields. We started this because we realized we’re stronger if we work together. It took a while to get everyone on board, but we’re doing okay now. We aren't looking to become a massive corporation. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and the crops get sold for a fair price. That’s the long and short of it for us here in Bramhani village.
