Mulapravara Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company is a producer group based in Sakur, which is in the Sangamner taluka of Ahmednagar. We are located at House Number 902, a place called Shri Balaji. We are a group of organic farmers who decided to come together as a company. It’s not like a normal office you’d see in a big city. There are usually sacks of grain or organic fertilizers stacked near the entrance. We meet in a large room in the house to discuss our plans and how to help each other with our crops. Ahmednagar can be a very dry place, so we spend a lot of time talking about water management and soil health. We aren't business experts; we are farmers first. We don't have a marketing department or fancy logos. We just talk to the other farmers in Sakur and try to get more people to switch to organic methods. The paperwork for the company can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, especially since we’d all rather be out in the fields. We take turns handling the filing and the bank work. It’s a collective effort, and everyone puts in what they can. We don't have big salaries or fancy titles. We just want our land to stay healthy and our families to have a decent future. We hope to keep doing this for many years.
