The shop is located right near the Phulumbri Post Office, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out running errands. We have been here in the Phule Market area for quite some time now, just off Jamalara Baba Road. Being so close to the Ajanta Highway means there is always a lot of noise and dust from the heavy trucks passing by, but that is just how it is around here. We deal with all sorts of steel items, from heavy rods to smaller pieces people need for their home repairs. Most mornings start with us moving things around to make space for the day. It gets pretty hot inside the shop during the summer months, so we usually have a small fan going behind the counter. The neighbors at the other stalls are good people, and we often share tea from the stall just down the street. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular place where you can come and get what you need without much fuss. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves, so if we are busy with a delivery, someone might have to wait a minute. We try to keep things organized, but when a big load of steel comes in, the whole floor gets covered pretty quickly. It is honest work and we have stayed in this spot because the community knows us.
