Rajendra Steel Centre

I am writing this from the office of Rajendra Steel Centre. We have been set up here on New Akole Road for a good while now, right beside the B-Ed College. If you live around Ahmednagar, you probably know this stretch of road gets pretty busy during the day. We mostly deal with steel, as you can probably guess from our name. It involves a lot of lifting, checking the stock levels, and talking to people who come in looking for specific sizes or types of metal. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty and the noise of the heavy trucks passing the college can be a lot, but that is just part of the daily routine here. My desk is usually covered in scrap notes and bits of paper where I jot down orders. It is not a fancy place by any means, just a practical shop where we get the work done. People often drop by to ask about prices, and we do what we can to find what they need in the back storage area. There is no big corporate team here, just a few of us making sure the steel is where it should be. We spend most of our mornings moving heavy items around or chatting with the delivery drivers. The building itself is quite simple and easy to miss if you are not looking, but it works for us. Ahmednagar is a large district and we see all sorts of folk coming through. (246 words)
