Steel Fab Equipments

L-108 in the MIDC area is where you’ll find us. Steel Fab Equipments is basically a big workshop filled with the sound of grinding metal and the flash of welding torches. It’s not a quiet place to work, that’s for sure. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we always have to watch where we step. We don’t have a fancy office upstairs; our desks are right near the machines because that’s where the work happens. MIDC is full of trucks and people in uniforms, and we are just another part of that landscape. The air usually smells like burnt oil and cooling metal. We’ve been in this unit for a while now and we know exactly where every tool is kept. It’s a bit of a rough environment, but we prefer it that way. We don’t bother with corporate talk or big presentations. If a piece of equipment needs fixing or building, we just get the blueprints out and start cutting. The tea stall down the road is where we spend our breaks, talking about the day’s production and the next big project. We have big heavy doors at L-108 to move the finished parts out. It gets dusty and the noise is constant, but seeing a finished steel structure leave the gate makes it worth it. We just focus on the metal and making sure everything is square and solid before it leaves our floor.
