Being located at A-44 M.I.D.C. means we are right in the middle of all the industrial noise and dust. Indian Iron & Steel Co.Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for a long time. It's not a quiet place, there's always the sound of trucks coming in and out and the clanging of metal. Our office is tucked away in one corner of the site. It gets pretty dusty, no matter how much we sweep. We deal with iron and steel every single day, so things tend to get a bit messy. The guys on the floor are usually covered in grit, and the office staff isn't much better by the end of the shift. We aren't big on formalities here. If you show up in a suit, you'll probably just get it dirty. Most of our neighbors are doing the same kind of work, so we all know the drill with the power cuts and the heavy traffic on the main road. We keep our records in old binders and try to stay on top of the orders as they come in. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have the yard and the warehouse and a lot of metal to move around. We’ve been through a lot of changes in the industry, but our location here has stayed the same. It is a solid, honest way to make a living for everyone involved here.
