Garbhagiri Vally Organic Farmer Producer Company is out on Shevgaon Road in Pathardi, Ahmednagar. You can find us at House No. 16/1. We are a group of farmers from the valley who decided to join forces a while back. Life in Pathardi revolves around the seasons, and we are no different. We focus on organic farming because the valley is a beautiful place and we want to keep it that way for our kids. Using chemicals just didn't feel right for us anymore, even if they make things easier. It’s a lot of work to manage everything as a group, but we manage by helping each other out. We spend our days out in the fields or meeting at the house on Shevgaon Road to plan out the next planting season. There’s always something to do, whether it’s fixing a fence, checking the irrigation pipes, or figuring out how to get our produce to the market without it spoiling. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure that the people living here in Ahmednagar have access to good food that hasn't been messed with. It’s a simple goal, really. We’ve had some tough years with the rain being short, but that’s the life of a farmer. We just keep going, supporting each other and working the land as best as we know how. It’s hard work and long hours, but it’s ours and we're proud of it.
