Z Machinery

Out here at Fortune Industrial Park, things are usually pretty dusty and noisy, which I guess is what you expect behind the GIDC area. We’ve been at number 9 for a bit now, right along the Singarva-Kathwada Road. It’s a good spot for moving machines in and out because the trucks can actually get to us without getting stuck in too much city traffic. The workshop stays pretty busy most mornings. We have a lot of heavy stuff sitting around, parts for this and that, and the floor is always a bit greasy no matter how much we sweep it. It’s just the nature of working with machinery. Usually, there’s a couple of us out on the floor and one person in the small office area trying to keep the invoices straight. We aren't big on fancy meetings. If someone needs a machine or a part, they just come in and we show them what’s in stock. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building pretty hard, so we usually keep the big shutter half-down to stay cool. There are a lot of other factories around us, so there is always the sound of welding or grinding in the background. It’s a practical kind of life. We focus on the equipment and making sure the orders go out when they’re supposed to. Nothing really complicated about it, just a lot of grease and hard work every day. It is just how things get done here.
