D. C. Engineering Industries

D. C. Engineering Industries is tucked away in Bapunagar, right near the Jain Rakshabandhan. It’s a typical industrial neighborhood where you hear the sound of metal hitting metal all day long. Our shop isn't very large, but we have crammed a lot of machinery into the space we have. There is the smell of cutting oil and old grease everywhere you turn. We spend our days at the lathes or the welding stations, depending on what needs to be fixed or made that week. The lighting isn't the best, so we use those big portable lamps to see what we are doing on the smaller parts. We don't really have a place for visitors to sit, so if someone comes by, they usually just stand near the doorway. Bapunagar is a crowded place, and parking near the shop is always a bit of a nightmare. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we often borrow tools or help each other out when something breaks. It is a very hands-on kind of life. We don't use computers much, mostly just hand tools and the big machines that have been with us since we started. Our hands are usually stained black from the work, and we wear heavy boots to protect our feet. It’s just a regular engineering shop doing regular work for the people who need it. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just get the metal work done and move on to the next job.
