You can find Yogi Engineering over in Amraiwadi, at number 12 in the Bajarang Estate. It’s on Nagarvel Hanuman Road, which is a bit of a mouthful to say, but everyone around here knows the way. The estate is a bit cramped, and sometimes the trucks get stuck trying to turn the corner near our unit. We’ve been here for quite a stretch now. The morning ritual is always the same—open the lock, sweep the front bit of the floor, and wait for the electricity to be steady. We have a small photo of the family near the entrance. The air in Amraiwadi always smells a bit like industrial exhaust and fried snacks from the vendors on the main road. Our workshop is full of the things we’ve collected over time—old parts, half-finished projects, and tools that have been repaired more times than I can count. We aren’t a big company with an HR department or anything like that. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over a cup of tea. We don't use big words or try to act like we're more than we are. We're just people working in a shop. The name Yogi was something we liked because it sounded calm, even though the workshop is usually anything but calm. It’s loud and greasy, but it’s our place. We stay until the last job is finished, even if it gets dark outside and the lights are flickering.
