Our place is located in Nandan Complex, right behind where the old Natraj Cinema used to be. Being so close to the Gandhi Gram Railway Station in Mithakhali means we see a lot of people rushing to catch their trains. We open up early to get everything ready for the day. The kitchen is small, and we have to be careful not to bump into each other when things get busy. We mostly serve simple meals that remind people of what they might eat at home. There is no big menu with hundreds of items; we just stick to what we know how to make. The chairs and tables are basic wooden ones that we have had for years. We do our own dishes and keep the counter as clean as we can. Ahmedabad gets really dusty, so we are always wiping the glass windows of the complex. Sometimes the train schedules change and we get a sudden rush of hungry people, which keeps us on our toes. We don't have any corporate training. We just learned by doing the work every day. It is a practical little spot for anyone who needs a quick bite before they head to the station or after they finish work in the nearby offices. We don't promise anything special, just a plate of food and a place to sit for a few minutes while you eat.
