If you head over to Phase-2 of the Gidc, specifically Plot No. C/1/b-377, you’ll find R K Engineering. We’re an engineering shop, which means there’s always the smell of grease and the sound of metal being worked on. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like it that way. We’ve got a few different machines that take up most of the floor space. Most of our day is spent measuring things, cutting, and welding. It’s precise work even if the shop looks a bit cluttered sometimes. We don't have a polished showroom. What you see is exactly what we are. We fix things and we make things. Sometimes people bring in parts that are completely worn out, and we have to figure out how to get them working again. It’s a lot of problem-solving. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. Everyone just pitches in where they are needed. The Gidc can be a bit chaotic with all the traffic, but being in Phase-2 gives us enough room to operate. We’ve had some of the same clients for years because we just tell it like it is and don't overcharge for stuff. We don't use any marketing tricks. If we can do the job, we tell you. If we can't, we tell you that too. It’s just straightforward engineering work done by people who know their way around a wrench.
