If you go behind the New Nirma factory in Gidc, you’ll find us at Plot No. I-4110 in Phase-4. Being located so close to a big name like Nirma makes it easy to give directions, but our shop is a lot smaller and more hands-on. We spend our days surrounded by tools, metal shavings, and the smell of grease. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, but we are used to it by now. It’s a noisy environment where you have to speak up to be heard over the grinders and engines. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone in a suit; it’s just us in our work clothes doing what needs to be done. Most of the time, we are busy handling specific requests that come in from other businesses in the Gidc. The weather can be a challenge, with the monsoon rains making the roads muddy and the summer heat making the shed feel like an oven. We just open the doors wide to catch whatever breeze there is. There’s a certain rhythm to the work, from the first machine starting up in the morning to the sound of the shutters coming down at night. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We focus on the metal in front of us and the day’s schedule, making sure everything is done as well as we can manage.
