Anand Engineering Company

If you come down to Phase-4 in Gidc, you will find us working at Plot No. 7601. We are Anand Engineering Company. It is mostly machine work and getting parts fixed or made. The floor is usually covered in some kind of oil or metal shavings by noon. We have a few old machines that still run better than the new ones we bought recently. It gets pretty loud when everything is turned on at once. Most of us have been working here together for a long time. We know the rhythm of the place. We do not spend much time on the computer unless we absolutely have to. It is more about using your hands and the tools we have kept for years. The coffee here is terrible, so we usually head out for tea twice a day. The industrial estate is always humming with noise from other shops around us. Our building is nothing special to look at. Just a regular shed with a lot of work going on inside. Sometimes we stay late when a job is urgent or a machine breaks down unexpectedly. It is just the way it goes in engineering. We try to keep things simple. If something is broken, we try to fix it. We do not use big words or have fancy meetings. We just get to the plot, open up the shutters, and start the machines. It is a steady life.
