Vaishnavi Engineering

Vaishnavi Engineering is situated at 113 Kamal Estate. We are right near the Bombay Conductor building, which is the main landmark around here. Vatva GIDC is a massive place, and the Office Road A is usually filled with trucks and workers on bicycles. Our workshop is one of the many units in this area. It smells like metal and oil most of the time. We have our machines set up in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. The heat in Ahmedabad gets quite intense, especially under a tin roof, so we have big fans blowing all day. We do a lot of our work standing up, moving between the benches and the equipment. It is noisy because of the surrounding factories, but you stop noticing it after an hour or two. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see what they need. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. At lunch, we sit around and share what we brought from home. It’s simple work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. We are just part of the industrial landscape of Vatva, doing what we know how to do until the sun goes down and the gate finally gets locked for the night.
