Unisteel Engineering Works

Down here at Plot No. 79/B in Phase 1 Gidc, Vatva, it is mostly about the work. Unisteel Engineering Works has been around this part of Ahmedabad for a good while. You can hear the sounds of the industrial area from our doorstep. It's usually hot, especially in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We handle a lot of steel. Some days it is heavy lifting and other days it is just small stuff that needs a bit of attention. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy things about us. It’s just us and the machines. The guys on the shop floor know their way around a welder better than a computer. We get a lot of local folks coming in needing things fixed or fabricated. Sometimes the traffic in Vatva makes it hard for deliveries to get through, but we manage. Our building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a standard industrial unit with a lot of history inside. We keep our tools organized, mostly, and try to keep the scrap metal in one corner so nobody trips. It is a simple life here. We start early, finish late when we have to, and make sure the jobs are finished before the weekend. If you ever find yourself in this part of Gujarat, you'll see plenty of places like ours, but we like to think we have our own way of doing things.
