Transtech Machinery Mfg Co.

We are based over at Dhaval Industrial Estate, specifically at unit number 21. Transtech Machinery Mfg Co. is pretty much what you’d expect from a place in an industrial estate. It’s a functional space with high ceilings and a lot of concrete floor. We have our machinery set up across the main floor, and there’s always a bit of oil or dust around. It’s a place where things are built, so it’s never going to be spotless. We like it that way, though. It feels like real work is happening. Our team is small but we’ve been together for many years. We know the machines inside out. The office part is just a corner we fenced off to keep the dust away from the computer. We spend more time out on the floor than at the desks anyway. It gets quite loud when everything is running at once, but you get used to the rhythm of the shop. We don't do much in terms of advertising or big presentations. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our work elsewhere. It’s a straightforward operation. We show up early, get the machines started, and work through the list. It’s a good way to earn a living, and being in the estate means we’re surrounded by others doing the same kind of work every day.
