The Jungle Bhookh

The Jungle Bhookh is over here in Ahmedabad, right at Wall Street 1 in Ellis Bridge. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, sitting just across from the Orient Club and not too far from Gujarat College. If you’re walking down the street, it’s hard to miss the building. Most days, we’re just busy getting things ready before the doors open. There’s a lot of work that goes into keeping the place running, especially with the theme we have going on inside. It’s not just about the tables and chairs; there is a lot of upkeep to make sure the plants and the decor don’t look dusty. People often ask us why we picked this name, but it just sort of stuck after a few brainstorming sessions. Ellis Bridge gets pretty busy, especially during the college hours when students are moving about. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice because it feels like a small neighborhood even though we are in a big city. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit loud, and the staff might be rushing around, but that’s just how it is when you’re trying to keep up with the crowd. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a place where you can sit down and have a meal without too much fuss. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to park, but usually, people find a way. We just keep doing what we do every day.
