Our place is C-804 in Swami Narayan Avenue, which is right over by the old Anjali Cinema in Vasna. Most people around here still use the cinema as a landmark even though things have changed over the years. We do a lot of different electronic work, mostly fixing stuff or setting up new gadgets for the folks in the apartment blocks. The workspace is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and spare components lying around on the benches. It’s not the neatest place you’ve ever seen, but we know which pile has the right capacitor or circuit board. We spend a lot of time soldering and testing connections. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink coffee, and other days it feels like everyone’s TV or computer broke at the same time. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who grew up around here. We know the neighborhood well and most of our customers are just people we see at the store or on the street. It’s a quiet enough area during the day when everyone is at work. We try to get our repairs done quickly so people can have their things back. We don't really do much in the way of fancy displays. We just have a counter and the work area in the back. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. We usually close up when the sun goes down.
