Standard Engineering Work

Our facility, Standard Engineering Work, is at number 7 in the Steel Mould Industrial Estate. We are situated on Nagarvel Hanuman Road in the Rakhial area. This is a proper industrial zone, so don't expect anything pretty when you come to visit. The estate is a collection of various units, and ours is a fairly typical one with high ceilings and a lot of metal everywhere. The floor is made of thick concrete and has plenty of marks from the heavy stuff we move around. It’s often quite loud because of the machines and the work being done in the neighboring units. We have a small corner with a wooden desk where we keep our records and take care of the paperwork, but that’s about it for the office side of things. Most of the space is dedicated to the actual work. It can get very hot during the summer months, and we rely on some big industrial fans to keep things bearable. We aren't the type of people to use big words or have fancy meetings. We just get the job done and make sure everything is in order before we lock up for the night. The area is always busy with trucks and workers, so there’s a real sense of industry all around us. We’ve been here for a good while and the routine is pretty well set by now. We usually eat our lunch sitting near the main door just to catch a little bit of the breeze.
