Sree Lakshmi Foods & Flavours

Our office is in the New York Trade Centre over in Thaltej, specifically in room B-302. It's a modern enough building, but our space feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. At Sree Lakshmi Foods & Flavours, there is almost always a lingering scent of something sweet or spicy in the air, which I guess is expected. We have shelves lined with different samples and jars that we’re constantly looking at. Thaltej is a busy area, so the commute can be a bit of a headache during the rush hour. Once we’re inside, though, it’s mostly just us focused on the mixing and the testing. We use a lot of small scales and notebooks to keep track of what we are doing. The desks are usually covered in bits of paper and small containers. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a little bit of everything, from answering emails to cleaning up the spills. It’s a bit of a messy process sometimes, but that’s how you get things right. The air conditioner hums in the background, and we mostly just talk across the room instead of using any intercoms or anything like that. It's a direct way of working that suits us just fine. We just take it day by day and see what needs to be shipped out next to our customers.
