Jay Engineers

We are located over on Sp Ring Road in the Odhav area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it's mostly industrial and gets quite dusty with all the trucks passing by. Jay Engineers has been running out of this workshop for some time now. We mainly focus on mechanical parts and fixing up machinery that breaks down in the local factories. The shop is filled with the sound of grinding and welding most of the day. It’s loud and the floor usually has some oil spots on it, but that's a machine shop for you. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us under a machine or standing at a lathe. We take on jobs that come our way, whether it’s a small repair or something a bit bigger that needs more time. The heat in Odhav can get pretty bad in the summer, making the metal hot to touch, but we just keep the fans going and get the work done. We started this because we liked fixing things and understood how engines and parts should fit together. It’s not a glamorous life, but it pays the bills and keeps things moving. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for parts to arrive, which can be frustrating for everyone, but we try to be clear about the timeline. It is just a straightforward engineering shop doing what we can with the tools we have.
