Slexo Packaging

Slexo Packaging is located in Umiya Industrial Estate, right across from the Bahuchar Party Plot. If there is a wedding or a party going on over there, we can hear the music all day long while we work. We are at unit number 6. It is a busy part of Kathwada, especially on the Singharva Road. Our space is mostly filled with rolls of material and machines. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit because you’re likely to get some dust on you. We started out here because it was close to the GIDC area, which makes moving stuff around a bit easier. The office part is just a small cabin partitioned off from the main floor. It gets pretty loud when all the machines are running at the same time. We usually have a few guys on the floor and someone handling the phone calls. Sometimes we lose track of time when a big order comes in. It’s not a glamorous business, but packaging is something everyone needs. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or decor. We just focus on getting the rolls cut and ready for whoever is picking them up. Ahmedabad can get really hot, so we have a couple of big fans that mostly just move the warm air around. It’s a steady life here in Kathwada.
