Gaurav Electricals

Our shop, Gaurav Electricals, is tucked away at C/1/4415 in Phase-Iv of the Vatva GIDC. We are right behind the Indo German Tool Room, which is a good landmark because people often get lost trying to find us. It’s not the biggest space, but we’ve crammed it full of wires, motors, and electrical components. The smell of solder and burnt copper is pretty much always in the air here. We handle all sorts of electrical repairs and setups. Most of the guys here have calloused hands from stripping wires and lugging heavy batteries around. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy catalog. Usually, people just hear about us from other shop owners in the area. We spend a lot of time out on sites or hunched over a motor that won't start. It can be frustrating when you can't find a short circuit, but that’s the nature of the job. We take pride in the fact that we can fix things that others might just throw away. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, even when we’re busy. We listen to the radio and drink way too much tea during the day. It’s a local business through and through. We know the neighbors and we know the rhythm of the GIDC. We just show up every day and do our best with the tools we have in our hands.
