Simco Food Products

Simco Food Products operates out of 137/138, Phase II, Vatva, Gidc. This is a very industrial part of the city. There aren't many trees around here, just lots of factories and trucks moving back and forth. Our units, 137 and 138, are right next to each other. We use one side for the processing and the other for storing the finished food products. It's usually quite loud because of the ventilation fans and the mixing equipment. The floor is made of grey concrete and we have to wash it down every single day to keep things clean. Being in the GIDC means we deal with a lot of dust from the roads, so we are constantly wiping things off. The staff here mostly comes in on bicycles or buses from the surrounding areas. We have a small area in the back where we sit and eat lunch together. It’s usually just simple home-cooked food. We’ve been in Vatva for years now and we know the guys in the neighboring units pretty well. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist. If someone comes by, they usually just walk right into the bay and shout for one of us. We focus on getting the orders filled and the trucks loaded. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
