Shri Vishwakarma Timber Mart

You will find us at No-8 in the Vishawakarma Estate. We are right opposite the Jaipur Golden Transport on the NH Highway No-8. This part of Naroda is always full of heavy trucks and the smell of diesel from the Galaxy Road traffic. Being a timber mart means there is always a bit of sawdust in the air and the sound of wood being moved around. Shri Vishwakarma Timber Mart is a place where we spend a lot of time on our feet. The yard is quite large and we have different types of wood stacked up depending on what came in last week. It is a physical job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and the highway noise gets too loud. Dealing with timber takes a lot of patience because you have to check every piece. We have a small office where we keep the ledgers and handle the payments but most of the action happens outside in the estate. The guys working here are used to the heavy lifting and the dusty environment. We don't really have a fancy way of talking to people; we just tell them what we have and how much it costs. It is honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes things get hectic when multiple trucks arrive at once but we just handle it.
